The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 275 - 275 Resting Period <1>

Bang!

Jake looked at his mother, who seemed to have been overexcited and gulped his saliva down. He felt that he really should find a backup to help him face his mother.

“I heard about the things that happened in City H.” Jake’s Mother looked at her son and nodded. “You did good.”

“You approve what we did?” Jake was astonished.

No matter what, his mother was still part of the military, so he thought that his mother would rebuke him after he come home. But what greeted him was a completely different scenario that he didn’t expect.

“Do you want me to support them?” Jake’s Mother arched her eyebrows.

Jake quickly shook his head.

Naturally, he felt that it would be for the best if his parents were on his side. That would make many things easier for him too.

.....

“I was worried that City E will be like City H,” Jake admitted frankly.

Jake’s Father, who had just finished his work, heard his son’s words and snorted. “We’re trying to stay neutral before. But because of Kyle’s decision, we’re now swept in the political matter.”

“Ah? Is it bad?” Jake was confused.

He had to be honest that he didn’t understand those things. Whenever his mother asked him about things that were related to politics… he would have to raise his two hands because he simply understood nothing.

“You don’t have to do anything.” Jake’s Father looked at his son with disgusted expression.

Asking Jake to help?

This son of his would only make more trouble rather than helping.

Jake looked at his father’s expression speechlessly. Did he have to show such a great dislike towards him?

He inherited this stupid trait from his father, okay?

If his father were to hear his words in his mind, it was estimated that another beating will come to Jake.

“Also, Mom, I need your help.”

“What help?” Jake’s Mother was not really interested in her son’s matter. Aside from getting Jake out of trouble, it would only be wiping this damn son’s asses from his troubles.

Thus, she felt a bit reluctant whenever Jake asked for help.

“That… I want to discuss my marriage matter with Lotte’s parents,” Jake said, his face was a bit red.

“Oh your marriage with… wait, what did you say?” Jake’s mother looked at her son deeply and felt that she had misheard something. The relationship between Jake and Lotte were indeed very good, but the two of them hadn’t discussed about marriage for so many years.

Anyway, they were no longer in the ancient times where they would be pressing their children to get married. They could afford to let these two stay as girlfriend and boyfriend for more time.

But hearing her son’s words, Jake’s mother’s eyes shone brightly.

“Did you propose to her?”

“Yes.” Jake pursed his lips.

“Hahahaha! Finally! Don’t worry, leave everything to your mother! I’ll make a perfect wedding for the two of you!” Jake’s mother was completely excited and quickly rushed out as fast as possible.

She wanted to share this news to Lotte’s parents!

Jake watched his mother disappearing and felt speechless.

Did she have to be so excited.

He turned his head and looked at his father, who also came towards him. Jake’s Father raised his hand and patted Jake’s shoulder. “You finally did a good thing.”

Jake: “…” So, I never do a good thing before?

<Dylan’s House>

Ding!

Dylan looked at the electronic gate and silently put away his card. He strode inside and quickly saw his sister, Dina, was already waiting there.

“You’re finally back.” Dina took a sigh of relief. She then took out a phone skillfully and sent several messages.

“Something?”

“Father and mother are ready to declare war if you didn’t return soon.” Dina shrugged.

Dylan’s father and mother naturally knew what happened in City H because the news spread far away. At this time, it was estimated that only a very few people wouldn’t know of what happened there.

Dylan frowned. “Trouble.”

Dina laughed. “You’re their only son, so of course they will do anything to defend you. Also, do you feel unwell or something?”

“Healed.”

“That’s good.” Dina stood up. “Father and mother wished that you can stay in City E more than roaming around. How about giving you a small position in the company first if you didn’t want to take it over yet.”

Dylan didn’t answer and instead looked at his older sister deeply.

“Hey, don’t look at me like that. It’s not like I’m the one who wants this but it’s our parents. They just didn’t say it outright because they didn’t want to trouble you.” Dina shrugged.

“Of course, if you still want to go in mission with your Black Group, they wouldn’t say anything either.”

Their parents would not force them to do anything they didn’t want to do. Thus, they could still make their own decision for many matters.

Dylan didn’t immediately answer.

He himself knew that going outside was quite tiring. And having hovered between life and death, Dylan had to admit that he himself wished to stay within Ice Blue Group more than roaming around.

But if he had to leave Black Group, that would definitely be a big no.

He didn’t want to stay away from his group.

“How about it?” Dina looked at her younger brother and smirked. “Just admit it. You liked to stay indoors more than going outside. Do you think I don’t know my younger brother?”

Dylan ignored his older sister and strode to the refrigerator to take a drink. He glanced at the few options there and finally picked orange juice.

Drinking the cool water, Dylan thought of several things.

“I stay in both.”

“You agree to stay in City E but you still want to accept missions from time to time?” Dina arched her eyebrows. “Alright, I’ll relay it to our parents. But I guess they will ask so that there wouldn’t be any mission anytime soon.”
